Affinity Designer is a multi-purpose vector drawing program. Logo creation, layout, typography, packaging, illustration, UI design, web design and game development are among the multiple applications of this new competitive application to Adobe Illustrator. It is aimed at graphic designers , illustrators , designers, letterers, game developers but also corporate communications managers

The basic and intermediate course
2 days of training – 12 hours
levels : Good knowledge of IT tools .
The essentials
- General (concept and interface)
- Personas (Designer, Pixel, Export)
- Manipulate predefined shapes
- Selections and alignment
- Quick coloring
- Place magnetic guides
- Using the pen (manual vectorization techniques)
- Selecting anchor points and Bézier curves
- Using the brush
- Create outline shapes
- Transforming objects
- Creating Textures
- Applying gradients
- Flattening transparencies
- Transparencies and mergers
- The different color modes
- Clipping Masks
- 3D effects and perspectives with isometric and axionometric grids.
- Using layers

The advanced course
1 day of training – 6 hours
Regardless of the new practices covered during this second level on Illustrator, the advanced course essentially consists of putting into practice the functions, tools and techniques covered in the basic course. Creation of logos and objects, illustration, coloring and vectorization techniques.
Required levels: Have completed the basic course or have an equivalent level.

- Combined Patterns and Transformation of Objects
- Manage overprinting, enriched blacks

- Use spot and custom colors
- Merging and cutting, mastering the pathfinder
- Export to the web and networks
- Layout techniques, design and chained texts
- Blending and clipping masks: a deeper dive.
