Indesign is a program which, used in conjunction with Illustrator and Photoshop, allows you to produce work intended for the world of publishing, graphics or advertising communication. Indesign allows you to easily create magazine layouts, books, brochures, leaflets but also ebooks as well as interactive newsletters.

THE BASICS: COURSE PROGRAM

 

  • General
  • Display (zooms, palettes, tools, guides, grids, preferences)
  • Compositions (pages, standard pages, use of layers)
  • Text (text management, styles, import, formatting, practical advice, tabulations, text vectorization)
  • Place text in columns, use alignment grids
  • Tables (Creating and modifying tables, formatting)
  • Creating vector paths (placing text on a vector, tracing bezier curves)
  • Import images (formats, resolutions depending on the type of printing, essential notions of photoengraving, display, transparencies)
  • Management of “books” (long documents, numbering, sections, models)
  • Create several templates.
  • Colorization (cmyk, rgb, duotone, grayscale, color separation, management of knockouts)
  • Printing, distribution and export
  • clipping and dressing

 

ADVANCED TECHNIQUES

Different conditioning exercises on practical cases will be offered in order to verify and consolidate the knowledge acquired from the previous course. The advanced course focuses on functions related to editing, creating long documents, creating interactive digital documents, advanced photoengraving functions and the relationships between Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign.

Required levels: Have completed the basic course or have an equivalent level.
